1981 Prairie 46 Sundeck Cruiser, Hull #6, in Coco, FL, circa 2020
The Prairie 46 is believed to be the largest hull made by Prairie Boat Works. We know at least six were produced, as the one pictured above, listed for sale in 2020, carried hull number six.
This mode had an especially spacious interior. While many vessels of this class tucked in three or four staterooms, this mode retained just two, allowing all spaces to be expanded.
The Sundeck Cruiser was 46.75 ft. (14.25 m) in length, with a beam of 16 ft (4.88 m). Power was twin Perkins 200HP turbo diesels and tankage was 600 gallons of fuel and 400 gallons of water. She displaced 31,000 lbs.
